Mark Twain is an American author best known for his literary works, such as ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' and his sequel, ''The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.''

Twain grew up in the US state of Missouri. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn also developed the plot in the state of Missouri. In his writings, Twain seems to want to highlight the mischief of his childhood. Although Mark Twain chose children and teenagers as the main readers of his writings, parents would not allow their children to read Mark Twain's books for fear that children in America would become naughty. A journalist once asked Twain about this, and Twain replied, "I don't even let my kids read my books!" Mark Twain, a father of 1 son and 3 daughters, often gave humorous answers to reporters' queries.

The childhood of this writer, who painted the childhood of thousands of children, was faded. Twain's father died when he was 12 years old. After the death of his father, he ended his relationship with the school and tried to take the helm of the family. He took a job as a typewriter for a local newspaper called "Hannibal Courier" in exchange for daily food. Twain had the opportunity to write and edit for "Hannibal Western Union", a magazine run by his older brother Orion Clemens. The younger brother used to take advantage of his elder brother's busy schedule. He did not settle down anywhere; in 1858, 21-year-old Twain decided to become a steamboat driver. The smiling young man got the job of piloting a steamboat in Mississippi. The dream was to cross the sea by ship. He resigned from the job during the AmericanCivil War of 1861. He likes waterways and steamers. The pseudonym in writing, therefore, chose the term steamer "Mark Twain", meaning "12 feet deep water". He took the job of mining in the gold mine. Not being able to do this hard work for a long time, he returned as a reporter for the "VirginiaCity Territorial" newspaper. Under the pseudonym "Mark Twain" began to work to present the news in a humorous way. Twain was very good at drawing cartoons.

Twain's reputation as a short story writer continues to grow. His story "Jim Smiley and His Jumping Frog" was printed. This short story made his debut as a comic writer to the common people. The desire was to become a sailor and sail in the distant sea.

Although not a sailor, he wrote the real story of his journey across the Mediterranean Sea as a tourist to the holy land of Palestine in a humorous way in the book "Innocents Abroad" in 1867. Sales of 70,000 copies in the first year of publication brought Twain to fame. By 182,000,000 copies had been sold. Mark Twain jokingly renamed the book "The New Pilgrims' Progress"! A book review by The New York Express quoted Twain as saying, "Very few will be able to read it without laughing at least half the time."

At just 34, Mark Twain went from being a journalist to one of America's most famous writers. He married Olivia Langdon in February 1870. Mark Twain referred to Tom Sawyer's character as a reflection of his own childhood. The Huckleberry Finn character was not fictional; it emerged from the reality of society. There are two more sequels to the Tom Sawyer series; one is "TomSawyer Abroad (1894)", the other is "TomSawyer Detective (1896)". The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is considered the best work of Mark Twain's life. The influence of this novel on later American literature was so great that Ernest Hemingway said in 1935, "All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn."

By then, Mark Twain had become one of the richest men in America. In 1885, Twain established his own publication. Mark Twain had a passion for science. Nikola Tesla was his close friend. They spent a lot of time together at the Tesla Laboratory. This friendship with Tesla inspired him to write about science fiction. His first science fiction, ''A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court,'' was published in 1889.

Mark Twain tried to do various scientific experiments with his own hands. He did not spend less money on this. At that time he invested about 2 lakh US dollars to make an automatic typesetting machine. But nothing worked. He is also known to have invested in various Tesla projects.

But it is only for the sake of friendship. Several such unsuccessful investments put him in financial trouble. Writing also decreases due to mental stress. Notable among his many unfinished works is The Chronicle of Young Satan. From Oxford to Yale, this writer has floated in the splendor of all the famous university degrees. In the 1895-96 seasons, he toured all over Europe and gave lectures.

Twain was born in 1835 when Halley's Comet was spotted. He died 75 years later in 1910 when another comet, Halley, appeared. Two years before his death in 1906, Twain's prediction caused quite a stir in the media. "In 1835, Haley's extraterrestrial object and that I came together! He is coming again next year. The biggest thing in life is not being able to go with him. God may have kept them together - they came together, they will go together! "

Twain died of a heart attack on April 21, 1910, fulfilling his prophecy. Just the day before, Halley's Comet was the closest visible to Earth. Mark Twain wanted to burn the body after death, at least in "Life on the Mississippi". The decision of the family members did not happen in the end. Until the end, Mark Twain was buried in the 12-foot monument, "Mark Twain."
